Stations of the Cross

This past Sunday, we celebrated the day when our KING came riding on a donkey, marking the beginning of Holy Week.
"Shout and cheer, Daughter Zion! Raise the roof, Daughter Jerusalem! Your King is coming! A good king who makes all things right, a humble king riding a donkey..." (Zech. 9:9, MSG)
Our King has come. He is Good, He is Humble and He makes ALL THINGS RIGHT.  As we live our day-to-day lives, we can easily become overwhelmed by burdens, by feelings, by challenges that come before us over and over again. But with our King, nothing is hopeless! Our King has come and He is good. He will make all things right. We must hold on to this truth- we must pray for the broken people of the world, hold on to the hope that is Jesus, and ask Him how we can serve along-side Him on behalf of those He's put before us... He is able.
During this week, He was praised with leaves of palms, people rejoiced over Him as their King, and later, the same people watched and encouraged as He was betrayed, beaten, and killed for our sake. It's a painful week of remembrance and a beautiful week of HOPE.  As I read today, "This is the week when agony and hope collide . . ."

stationsMy beautiful sister-in-law Sarah is an incredible artist. She has made these amazing two color linocuts prints on rice paper of the stations of the cross. They are so gorgeous and so meaningful. This Holy Week, we thought it would be the perfect time to start selling prints. She has so generously offered to donate her sales towards our adoption fund! We are so grateful and excited to buy a couple for our walls. They are so beautifully and creatively done!!stations2   stations 3stations4stations5    Each original work of art is $65.00 and we will ship it to you from New York.  If you're in Colorado Springs (or nearby), I'd be happy to deliver it! If you would like to place an order, please e-mail me at loverootsphotography@gmail.com and we will work out the details!stations6stations7 One of my favorite verses says this of Jesus " We have this hope as an anchor of the soul..." In the Message, it says it this way: "...We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek".TO SEE ALL OF THESE BEAUTIFUL PEICES, Go to this gallery: Sarah Gorss//Stations of the Cross**Each print is 18x24.** Which, for reference, is this size:wood-prints-18x24 Thank you, sweet Sarah!!  And thank you to those who might like to purchase one or a few of these!
